Sensing a Pattern

I finally got the new holiday J.Crew catalog in the mail right before Thanksgiving, and the long weekend gave me plenty of time to sift through it and dog ear 90% of the pages. The styling in this particular issue is outstanding (I highly recommend you check it out for yourself here, if you don’t get the catalog).

One common theme throughout the pages was the use of J.Crew’s signature, saturated, and varied color palette, paired against little bits of pattern. Whether obvious, with a textured tweed pant, or more subtle, with a bit of plaid peeking out from the bottom of flannel lined chinos, it’s a combination I find irresistible!

Get the look: cashmere hat; cashmere fingerless gloves; leopard print envelope clutch; cashmere funnelneck sweater

Get the look: Crystal button cardigan; Perfect shirt in suckered tartan; Downtown skinny jean

Get the look: Double-cloth townhouse trench; Cafe Capri in harvest tweed; cashmere scarf; Mona glitter pumps

Get the look: Majesty Peacoat; Hearthstone Snood

Get the look: Scoopneck top in wildcat; No. 2 Pencil skirt; Biennial satchel; Valentina snakeskin pumps

Get the look: Plaza coat; Pixie pant; cashmere plaid scarf; cashmere funnelneck sweater

Get the look: Glimmer long sleeve tee; Waverly chinosBiella patent loafer

How do you like to mix patterns into your daily ensembles? See any patterned pieces here you’re coveting?
