What to wear to a Winter Wonderland

If you follow me on Twitter, you’re probably totally sick of hearing me talk about the Altitude Summit, which is taking place next month. For those of you not familiar, Alt is a multi-day blogging conference which takes place in Salt Lake City. So…pretty much heaven. I mean, where else do you have several days to make friends with people who ALL blog, and therefore can share war stories, tips, tricks, and best practices? Exactly.

Anyway, the big shindig at Alt is a Thursday night party, which has been given a Winter Wonderland theme (with white and sequins expressly encouraged). Given the travel costs, I’m probably going to do a lot of shopping in my own closet to put together outfits for Alt, but if I could, I think I would rock some kind of long sleeved silver or white sequined number for this event. Instead, I’m going to pair a white sequined camisole from the Crew with a white silk pencil skirt and whatever fun shoes I can scrounge up. I don’t think it’ll be as merry as any of these looks, but for working with what I have, I think it will turn out okay!

If you were invited to a Winter Wonderland party, what would it inspire you to wear?

1. Laundry Sequined Halter, $157.50 | 2. Michael Kors Sequined Wrap Dress, $150  3. ABS Long Sleeve Sequined Dress, $267 4. Singer 22 Dress, $119 5. ASOS Sequin Dress, $99 6. Aidan Mattox Bloused Cold Shoulder Dress, $360 7. Aidan Mattox Cowl Neck Dress, $189 8. French Connection Samantha Dress, $298 9. Jessica Simpson Mesh Sequin Dress, $119 10. Aidan Mattox Off Shoulder Sequin Dress, $320 11. Carmen Marc Volvo Sequined Combo Dress, $565 12. Alice + Olivia Hanlan Sequined Dress, $495

See anything you like? I know I do!

  3. DYING to go to ALT summit! next year i hope i make it happen. gorgeous round up of dresses! i love the long sleeve ones! xo

  4. These are so pretty! I would LOVE to go to Alt! You’ll have to tell us all about it. I’m thinking about making Alt 2013 one of my goals for the next year!

  5. too hard to choose!! I think #10 is my fave!

  6. Love them all especially 8 + 9 – can’t believe that #9 is Jessica Simpson!!

  7. true to form, i’m loving one of the most expensive (curses to my expensive taste!) – #6 wants me to wear it to that winter wonderland party, like, bad! instead, i’ll probably be surfing my own closet as well :)

  8. These are gorg!!! I love #2 and #11!

  9. Holy hot tamale! I love these. And just when I thought, eh, I won’t wear the black sequined number I have, you show me these and now I can’t live without the sparkle. Yowza!

  10. Well…first it sounds like loads of fun! Second, depends on my weight, lol IF I am my ideal weight I would probably go for one of the “hotter” numbers but given my weight and age, 40’s the realistic choice is 6, 9 and 10. Love all of them but those 3 are the ones I would feel most comfortable in and feel would be the most flattering!

  11. #8 is super adorable and I kind of love it with the slicked back pony. So jealous you’re going to ALT! Really wanted to attend this year but it just wasn’t in the cards. Have the best time!

  12. I LOVE these! Wish I had seen that ASOS one before buying my New Year’s outfit!!

  13. Oh no, I really liked no. 5 and it’s sold out in my size. Ahhhh. It would’ve been perfect for the black and white themed New Years party I’m going to. Oh well, it probably wouldn’t have arrived in time anyway. Right? Right? I would pick no.3 if it was 50% off.

  14. How exciting! I do not blame you for going on and on about the conference! I know I would! And I like so many I couldn’t even begin to list them! I have been totally in love with anything that glitters these days. Happy Holidays!
