An au naturel update

I was so excited when I got such good feedback on the round up of natural beauty products I’ve recently tried. Thanks, you guys!! Since writing that post last week, I have been reading the book No More Dirty Looks (checked out from my local library…seriously, public libraries are the best). It has been an amazing source of information, laid out in an easy to read, non-preachy, non-judgmental, dare I say fun way.

If you are interested in learning more about ingredients in cosmetics, the pros and cons of particular beauty practices and treatments (think: Brazilian Blowouts, highlights, Botox, even mani-pedis), the history of the cosmetics industry’s regulations (not too long or boring, I promise), as well as TONS of recommendations for safer, healthier products, I definitely recommend this book!  Last night I also found out that the authors have a daily beauty blog that looks pretty fun. Mosey on over here to check it out, if you’d like.

As a sidenote, I also did a big clean out of my toiletry drawer(s). So if nothing else, this natural beauty stuff gets rid of those bottles that are years old and probably dried up anyway!

  1. Fantastic!! Can’t wait to read this and keep swapping nautral beauty tips :) Happy Thursday!

  2. I think I will need your help in determining which of my products need to go! I am the worst at keeping old products around, and I would love to try some of the natural ones you like.
