The Great Outdoors

With spring finally here, I’ve been drawn to images featuring outdoor fêtes and garden parties. There’s something so divine about dining al fresco, with plenty of wine, candle light and a warm spring breeze to keep you company all day (and night). I recently started a board on Pinterest to collect these ideas for future garden parties to come (that is, when I one day have a house with a yard!).

Several obvious themes going on up in here. I am obsessed with those little French garden chairs. I like outdoors spaces that feel cozy, maybe even secluded. And I like to keep the vibe simple, with the focus on the surrounding landscaping or architecture.

If you were planning an outdoor entertaining space, what’s requisite for you? Though it’s not in these photos, I might have to throw outdoor wood fired oven to my list of must haves. Pizza parties, anyone?
